Alysa, Peyton, Wesley & Jesse

These pictures were taken in September. Peyton absolutely adores Jenny's daughter (Alysa -6) . When we go to there house, he goes straight to Alysa and forgets about the rest of us.

Here is a picture of all the kids (Alysa, Peyton and her twin sons Wesley & Jesse -5) sitting on the swing. Getting them ALL to sit still doesn't happen to often. (Jenny also has two older kids, her Daughter Blake (13) & son Alex (11).)

Family Photo

Not too often do I get a picture with my brothers Brian & Robb along with my Mom. Both of my brothers tend to shy away from the camera, but I told them "Mom said so" and they graciously posed for a picture :o). Brian is in the center and Robb is on the right.

Olivia's "1st" Birthday

My niece Olivia's 1st Birthday was on October 16h. Her birthday is the same day as our anniversay. It's neat! Her birthday party was on Saturday. She had an adorable princess dress on.

Olivia definitely wasn't afraid to tear into her cake. My brother had to give a quick bath and wordrobe change after the cake. Then on to the presents.
She sat with mommy (Jessi) so well and opened her presents. By the end she was pulling the clothes out of the bag and looking at them herself.
She also received a little couch just for herself. As
you can tell in the picture, I think she likes it.
It was a very nice birthday party!!

Las Vegas Trip

Larry and I left for Las Vegas Tuesday October 14th, 2008. Larry has been looking at cars and there was a 65 Chevelle that he wanted to look at. Since our anniversary was the 16th, he wanted me to go too. He figured that if the car turned out to be what he wanted that would be great, but if it didn't at least he wouldnt be sitting in Vegas alone. Plus, we needed some alone time and this seemed like the perfect time to go with it being our anniversary. Depsite my fear of flighing we were off. My good friend Jenny took care of Peyton. When we landed, Vegas wasn't really what we thought it would be, but the lights at night were pretty. Larry's friend Dean goes to Vegas all the time for pool tournaments so he hooked us up with the hotel with the nicest rooms for the cost, places to eat and visit, and to valet park our car at whatever hotel we were going to see sights near. That was great. With Larry's knees not being so well and the strip is long!
We got in to town and went to see the car that night. We got back to the hotel around 9:30 pm (Nevada time), showered and headed out to the strip. That night we got to see the pirate show at Treasure Island. That was a very good show. You could feel the heat from the flames when they "shot" the pirate ship (See pic to right).
In the morning to see the car in the daylight. It was a nice car, but not worth the money he was asking for it. So, we made the most of the trip.

We walked the strip and shopped the first day and watched the fountains at the Bellagio.

The second day on our Anniversary we went to the Hoover Dam, had a nice steak dinner at Circus Circus and then headed to the Strasophere. I talked to my dad the night before and he said it was a must to go to the top. Again, another fear of heights (I'm full of them), Larry got me to go up 107 floors to the top. I wouldn't walk away from the inside edge of the building, I did walk through the gift shop, but there was no way of getting me near the windows edge or even half way to the window. Of course, Larry was laughing at me, but just getting me up there was huge. I can't believe I did it. I also cannot believe the people that ride the three rides on top it.
Here is a picture of the view from the top, of course, Larry took the picture.

After that, we drove down to Freemont Street, the old Casinos, where they have a canopy with a light show (see pic to the left). It was awesome. Overall, it was a great trip and we got to spend some much needed time with each other.

We returned late Friday night. When we walked in the door to pick Peyton up, he didn't know what to think. He looked at us and then walked slowly to us. He gave me a hug and then went to Larry. He wouldn't let go of his daddy. I thank goodness I have a friend like Jenny to take care of my baby. We will definetly have to do this again. Some place different next time.

SAY CHEESE

When I grab my camera and tell Peyton to "Say Cheese" these are the faces I now get.

These were taken the morning we left for Vegas and of course he was being extra good. I think he knew something was up.

APPLE FESTIVAL PARADE / 2008

The 2008 Apple Festival Parade was Saturday 27th. The Taberski / Burger family were all in attendance. Peyton and I left to go meet my dad, step-mother Anita, brother Bryce and Grandma who went to the parade early to save us a seat. When we were walking down the sidewalk, it was so nice see my brother Brian sitting there with my nephews Mason & Parker (3yrs). My sister-n-law Jessi and neice Olivia (1yr Oct. 16th) arrived shortly after we did as well my Aunt Sue and husband Larry.

The kids had fun playing before the parade. Once the parade started they all sat on the curb and watch so nicely. I was worried at first about Peyton. I didn't think he would sit there, but when the policeman on the motorcycles started the parade, he sat very well!! It was such a great time and so nice to have all the family together.

We were able to take a pictures of my Dad with all his kids... Judith (me), Brian & Bryce! I also got a picture with Anita. She is always taking the pictures, so this time, we gave the camera to my dad.

The Burger Family,
Larry, Judy and Peyton!
